Podcast: Financial Markets Overview – Thursday, March 31
US stock futures point to a slightly higher open at 5:00 a.m. ET. European stock markets opened mostly higher, after mixed to lower Asian trade. Nothing really new overnight in terms of focus and headlines as we approach the end of the first quarter. Some disappointment at the lack of progress in ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine. Also inordinate focus on the potential signal of recession due to curve inversion, although there is still much debate over which spreads should receive the most scrutiny.
